Right now I'm on my "Spring Break"...so I decided to head the home for a little holiday ...but to first make a stop in Calgary to see my boyfriend and friends. One of my friend's suggested that we go for a little coffee date at 'cafe beano' ...a cute little coffee shop just off 17th Ave. The coffee was great & we shared a delicious sandwhich & a good chat!

Yesterday I went to Forever 21 and had some great success...and spent hardly anything. The Spring styles are really inspiring me...and I love all of the brass jewelry as well. What's on your Spring Shopping List?

So, because I'm sick, and none of my Vancouver friends want to come share germs with me...I have lots and lots of time on my hands. And I've been reading blogs and blogs and blogs. While I've read The Man Repeller before, today it was the only thing that could make me laugh (other than the cheesy jokes my boyfriend read me to try and cheer me up). She's witty, she's funny, and she chooses fashion (or man repelling) above anything else.

I'm sure we're all aware of the 70's hippie/festival trend coming back into fashion, and rightfully so. It's fun, relaxed yet chic, and I have not met one person who can't appreciate it. Here's some styles I'm going to be trying myself:

summer dreams

Last week it was beautiful out...and I went for a little walk downtown. I spotted this man sitting outside of a coffee shop on the corner of Granville Street and West Hastings, enjoying the weather and people watching. He was just sitting there minding his own business and seemed content, so I decided not to bother him, even though I was very impressed with his outfit!

These pictures totally crack me up, since clearly they were last minute and I didn't prepare at all (notice the box in the bottom? Sorry, I'm a failure!). Anyways, I just had to post this outfit anyways because I lovelovelove this jacket! I purchased it a few years ago at a Craft Sale in Calgary with my oldest friend Kirsten, while we were working and living there. It's hand made and is wool, therefore it's super warm and works well for these days that are in-between and always changing.

The Omelettry is a small, always busy breakfast and lunch restaurant on W 6th Ave and Granville Street...Luckily only a quick walk from my house! I've been there twice now, and enjoyed the meal so much that I can't wait to go back. It has such a cute ambience, great food and energetic servers, I recommend it to everyone.

This weekend I'm pretty much staying in and doing homework... The. Whole. Time. That is to be expected though, my second semester is coming to an end! So comfort is key - leggings and sweats are basically my weekend wardrobe right now. I am excited to be half done my school year though! I hope everyone else has a few more exciting plans than me.
