My friend and I were walking around Gastown the other day... the sun was shining, it was warm and we couldn't resist the charm of the brick sidewalks and steaming clock! While there, we stopped in Lynn Steven boutique, and came across these Melissa shoes. At first they just seemed like any normal shoe. Then you touch them...and they're made of PVC (plastic) in Brazil, plus they're eco-friendly and vegan! But that's not all... the sales associate told us to smell the shoes..and low and behold, they smelled like bubblegum. Such a cute idea!

I have added a new ring to my collection...all thanks to Erin Wasson. My friends Sara and Danielle introduced me her jewelry line, Low Luv, and it has totally and completely stolen my heart (along with theirs!). I've been looking for the perfect full-finger wrap ring for a while now, and I'm quite happy with this one.

By far the most beautiful clothes on the runway.... my friend Danielle showed me these and I started drooling immediately. They're incredibly intricate and have beautiful hints of lace and lots of beading. I think I'm in love.

All of the new spring stuff in Club Monaco has absolutely stolen my heart... especially these cropped long sleeve sweaters which are the perfect mix of relaxed casual & comfy chic. I'm tempted to go back and purchase it in every color... along with all of their great sale items & their adorable new jewelry (think oversized pearls with chunky silver chains). Another great thing about CM - all students get 20% off! So go hook yourself up.

On Friday night, I went to see my friend's friend's band. "Tough Lovers" are from Ladner, BC; and in my opinion have it all going for them. They even have a female vocalist to sweeten up their sound. Check out their EP Album "Exits"

army impression
Another one of my obsessions right now is army green...I think it's flattering on (almost) everyone, it goes with again, (almost) everything (including stripes! yes!) and I think it transfers from season to season. I'm starting to see a lot of spring and summer merchandise appearing in stores, and while I'd love to be buying it all and wearing it, the weather isn't quite there yet. So until then, I'll be wearing casual variations of this:

pocket pies
This post is for my Nana! I used her pie recipe (and if you've ever had her pie...your mouth would be watering at the thought), and made some little "pocket pies". I got the mold from William Sonoma, and it makes the cutest, most perfect sized little pies ever. And Nana, while my pies can't beat yours, they were still pretty good.
[ I brushed them with some egg to make them brown nicely...but they just kind of looked funny ]
