On Sunday I made a huge Greek-themed dinner - complete with blue and white striped napkins! I'm no pro at cooking, but I have to say that I'm quite impressed with the outcome of this meal.

Good morning! The sun finally came out for me today... I can't help from being happy.

Today was nothing but rain, rain, rain. As have the past few days. Unfortunately, I was stuck inside doing homework all day, so I decided to take a quick grocery run... and to juxtapose the dreary day with a splash of bright red.

My friend and I travelled all the way to Value Village in Abbotsford the today, and while it was a long trek, we had a lot of fun! I wore something a little dressier because I feel like I've been wearing clothes that are just too comfortable lately.

This february I'm setting a goal for myself...to shop ONLY at Value Village. And to hopefully find some great pieces! I've been overspending and undersaving - time to change that! Wish me luck...

Over the past couple of weeks, I've visited the Vancouver Aquarium twice...and felt just like a little kid each time. I'm not sure what it is about stuff like this, but it totally excites me and freaks me out all at the same time. I don't think it can ever get old!

I was on the Urban Outfitters website recently and saw this picture by Jen Lobo:

I fell in love with it and bought it for my brother for his birthday (Happy Birthday...it's in the mail on it's way to you!). While I couldn't get the canvas (booo!) I was able to find a print of it on www.gelaskins.com where she sells many others as well. Her artistry does extend past just whales, but I just loved all of these paintings and the fact that the name suits the character of each depiction so well.

I came across this blog and have been reading through all the posts...and I'm obsessed! It's a "west coast blog on new music with a focus on emerging artists and new and limited edition vinyl and cassette releases." Please take the time to read through some of it...it's so great and the writers have so much knowledge!

wicked cafe

Has anyone else found Starbuck's coffee to be getting worse and worse? Not necessarily their coffee...but the way in which it's prepared. Everytime I go there the shots in my latte are burned or they use the wrong kind of milk (certain types do not fare well with me if you know what I mean), or it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. So I've been venturing out and finding new places...and luckily one of those places is only a block from my apartment! it's called "Wicked Cafe" and as I understand there's a few in the Vancouver area. Their lattes are amazing (they put heart or leaf designs in the foam), and their coffee always tastes delicious. They also have the best snack food and sandwiches ever...the other day when I was in there they had a new sandwhich - Nutella and Peach on whole wheat. Yum! This is my regular order though - a large latte 'to go' and a ginger cookie.

This particular Wicked is on the corner Hemlock and W 7th...if you're ever in the area, check it out.

Welcome to the New Year everyone! I feel like i haven't been on here in light years, this holiday break went way too quickly and nice and slow all at the same time. I arrived home from Kona, Hawaii last night and have been doing nothing but laundry and putting away Christmas decorations all day! I also had a chance to pop out for a bit of shopping...the sales are so awesome right now I couldn't resist! Plus I got a nice bit of cash this Christmas that I've been eager to spend. Anyways, here are a few shots of my holidays and my trip!
